Schools like Shea’s rely on Teachers to text, email, and call Subs until they have one that wants the Job.
Let’s not forget the value of a mental health day. Teachers need to be encouraged to take time for themselves but for a lot of Schools, it’s more of a headache to take off than Teachers may find worth it.
Shea wasted no time in mobilizing a team of motivated app developers and seasoned business advisors. Together, they embarked on an ambitious journey to develop an app that could revolutionize how substitute teachers were recruited and managed.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Subbey held its first pilot program in schools, eager to test the efficiency and functionality of the app. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Subbey's transformative impact on the education landscape, as it sought to empower schools and streamline the substitute teaching experience.
